  April 06, 2013 - BUET team has been the champion in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2013 Bangladesh Round

BUET team consisting of 4 students from the Department of CSE and EEE has won the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2013 Bangladesh Round Grand Finale, arranged in AIUB on 6th April. They may represent Bangladesh in the world finals arranged in Russia this year.

The WHO estimates that in 2002 there were 161 million visually impaired people in the world (about 2.6% of the total population). Of this number 124 million (about 2%) had low vision and 37 million (about 0.6%) were blind. We cant begin to imagine how hard it is to live ones day-to-day life in total darkness.

  December 20, 2011 - Smart Roadside Indicator

As we stroll down the streets, we see frequent roadside indicator boards with specific messages on them- like the speed limit, or speedbreaker ahead, Do not blow horn and so on. But when we are busy driving, we can miss these signs, and sometimes, the result is disastrous.

  December 20, 2011 - Maze Solver Robot

A line maze will be given to solve means an automated car will go through the maze from source to destination. Maze includes paths which are depicted in the following figure. The car can take 90° and 180° or "U" turns in order to reach the destination.

Bangladesh has numerous rivers all across the country and with the progress of communication we are building monstrous bridges over many of those rivers. As ours is a developing country most of the time we don’t have enough funds to build a bridge on our own.

  December 19, 2011 - Automated water faucet

The main focus of our project was to bring something innovative that will reduce the misuse of water into our existing water faucets. In this regard, we pointed out a fact that whenever there is no water in tank but someone has kept the tape opened carelessly, then when there is water available, it is simply wasted.

  December 19, 2011 - Vehicle Tracking System

In this Project we have designed an embedded system which is used for tracking and positioning of any vehicle by using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global system for mobile communication (GSM).

  July 10, 2006 - Space on the Web

Something New on the Horizon This project is a prototype model of a computer controlled telescope. The telescope can be pointed to any direction by sending commands from the computer.
