We are the research group of Prof. Md. Mostofa Akbar at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, working on combinatorial optimization, multimedia QoS, distributed systems, computer networks, and — most recently — applied AI and LLM-based systems.

Six threads of inquiry, from foundational optimization to applied language-model systems.
Exact and heuristic algorithms for the multidimensional multiple-choice knapsack problem (MMKP) — convex-hull construction, parallel and distributed heuristics.
Video-on-demand multicast patching, admission control, service-level agreements and utility models for distributed multimedia servers.
Wireless sensor-network addressing and routing, energy-efficient broadcasting in ad-hoc networks, and MPLS/WCDMA admission control.
Quorum- and permission-based mutual exclusion, ℓ-exclusion and fault tolerance, grid resource reservation, and ubiquitous computing architectures.
Interconnection architectures for network-on-chip (EFTI) and gpNoCsim, a general-purpose NoC simulator.
Retrieval-augmented generation, hallucination reduction, LLM-based Android testing, Bangla handwriting recognition, and biomedical AI.
