Team "BUET Skull" wins the Runners Up postion in International Robotic Contest, Techfest, Bombay.:

"Buet Skull" took part in the International Robotic Challenge 2013, Techfest- IIT, Bombay. The event was held from 2nd to 5th January, 2013. BUET Skull qualified for the event by winning the regional championship, IRC Bangladesh 2012 on November5,2012. However, 16 teams including India, Srilanka, Egypt, Nepal, France, Thailand took part in the IRC Grand Finale. BUET Skull became the Runner up in IRC grand Finale beating all other countries and losing only against the Champion Srilankan team. In first round, our team was on the group of death, also we were having a lot of unwanted difficulties with our bots. By marathon debugging & testing throughout the night of 4th January, almost all the problems were solved and the very next day, we managed to escape the group of death. In the nerve wrecking semi-final BUET Skull beat hot favorite Srilankan team by a whisker (1.5 seconds). In the final, we lost against the Champion team from Srilanka, who were 3 times back to back champions now. Its a great chastisement for BUET, as we were able to put our mark in the competition in the first try. Hope, this will open the pathway to continued success in the competitions.
