The Department of CSE, BUET has been ranked in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings in “Computer Science”. On 28 October 2020, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has been ranked in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject, where the Department of CSE, BUET has ranked the top among all the departments in BUET. The ranking of the Department of CSE, BUET is 601–800 in Computer Science and 801–1000 in Engineering.
This is for the very first time the department has been ranked. In the very first appearance over the ranking, the department appears in the range of 601–800 in Computer Science. This is a remarkable achievement of the department and the achievement is expected to flourish in near future.
The Department of CSE, BUET nurtures a great pool of students, who are generally treated as the best ones within Bangladesh. The students are taught, supervised, and guided by an enthusiastic pool of faculty members. The department is supported by active officers and employees. Besides, the department has been led by its ever-dynamic administration from the beginning of its journey around three decades back. Thus, credits of achieving appearance in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings go to all the students and alumni, past and present faculty members, officers, employees, and administrations. The department also values all other stakeholders and well-wishers of it in road to achieving the success.
