BUET Students Win the Prestigious Honda YES Award 2025!

We are delighted to share that two talented students from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) — Anik Saha (20050010) and Fairuz Mubashwera (2005030) — have been honored with the Honda Young Engineer and Scientist’s (YES) Award 2025.

The Honda YES Award is one of the most prestigious recognitions for undergraduate engineering students in Bangladesh. Each year, only four students from the country are selected for this highly competitive award, making it a remarkable achievement for both the recipients and BUET.

The Honda Young Engineer and Scientist’s (YES) Award was launched by the Honda Foundation, Japan, to recognize and nurture outstanding young engineering and science students across Asia. The program aims to encourage innovative thinking, leadership, and commitment to sustainable development and technological advancement.

Since its inception in Bangladesh in 2008, the YES Award has identified and supported some of the brightest minds in engineering, empowering them to contribute to future technological and social progress. The selection process includes multiple stages of evaluation, assessing academic excellence, creativity, social awareness, and leadership potential.
