With immense pride and joy, we are pleased to announce that the CSE BUET team "BUET_Silver_hawks" has secured the prestigious title of Champion at the ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest 2025.

The ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest 2025 was held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the permanent campus of the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). A total of 939 talented minds from 313 teams across the nation participated in this year's edition, making this the largest Dhaka regional event to date.

In a competitive 5-hour battle of intellect, BUET_Silver_hawks secured the championship by solving 7 complex algorithmic problems. The winning team comprises three undergraduate students from the Department of CSE, BUET: Shafin Ahmed (Student ID: 2205001), Ashraful Islam Fahim (Student ID: 2205011), Md. Tahmid Hossain (Student ID: 2205009).

In addition to this victory, another team from our department, "BUET_GreyMatter," delivered a commendable performance by securing the 5th position on the national leaderboard.

By claiming the Dhaka Regional Champion title, BUET_Silver_hawks has qualified for the 2026 ICPC World Finals, scheduled for November 15-20, in Dubai, U.A.E.

The teams were coached and mentored by a dedicated committee of experienced and young faculty members from CSE BUET, together with ICPC alumni from the department. Furthermore, all faculty members of the department extend their unconditional support, financially and otherwise, to champion this endeavor. The CSE department remains committed to supporting its students as they continue to excel in various fields of computing.
